Room Parents play an integral role in their child’s classroom, working closely with the teachers to communicate and organize parent participation for a range of classroom activities. If you would like to have fun working with your child’s teachers and fellow parents – then volunteer to become a Room Parent!!! Responsibilities include:

Coordinating the beginning of year summer playdates for your child’s class

Meeting once a month from 9:05am – 9:45am in the Church Nursery (little ones welcome)

Posting sign-up sheets/sending email notices for activities, class parties, school events and field trips as needed

Assisting teachers with class parties for special occasions (as needed)

Organizing a classroom emergency telephone/email tree (forms to be distributed at the first meeting)

Collecting and managing funds used to purchase gifts for teachers, etc.

Helping to coordinate and procure donations for the classroom Auction/Raffle basket for the spring Parent Social and Auction
Room parent sign-ups take place the beginning of each school year, forms are distributed with the summer packet which is sent to families in July. If you are interested in discussing room parent opportunities, feel free to contact the Board Vice President, listed in your school roster.
